The Demountable Steps

STEP 1:
Driver arrives at the loading dock, sets the parking brake, turns on the safety cut off switch and exits the cab.

STEP 2:
The body electrical connections are unplugged, body is unlocked with the locking lever and the Chassis Lift is activated to raise the body.

STEP 3:
The driver slides out the reinforced steel legs. Legs are then adjusted and pined into position. The legs are independently adjustable to compensate for uneven locations.

STEP 4:
The Chassis Lift is activated; lowers back to the truck chassis. Now the body is free standing. The driver pulls the truck chassis out from under the body.

STEP 5:
Free standing body can be loaded to capacity while standing on it's legs. The truck is now free to pickup another body or even another body type like a flat bed or CurtainSide body.

STEP 6:
To remount the operation is simply reversed. The driver backs under the free standing body (loaded or unloaded).

STEP 7:
The Chassis Lift is activated to raise the body off it's legs. The driver unpins and folds each leg away. After all the legs are stowed, the Chassis Lift is activated to lower the body to the chassis. Body is locked to the chassis and body electrics are connected.

STEP 8:
The truck is now ready to be driven. Total operation takes the average driver between 5 and 10 minutes.
