TruckTainer Semi-Trailer The TruckTainer Semi-Trailer provides a highly cost-effective method of increasing a company's market and distribution area without the traditional costs of local warehousing, double handling of inventory and additional personnel. These costs are eliminated because a central warehouse can pre-load and shuttle multiple demountable bodies to an outlying area where bodies can then be transferred to TruckTainer equipped straight trucks for local delivery. A Complete Road-Ready Unit The TruckTainer Semi-Trailer is a complete lifting and locking system that is designed to carry multiple TruckTainer bodies over long distances. The lifting is powered by a lift/lower air suspension on the trailer and tractor, enabling a simple and safe transfer of bodies that can easily be managed by the average tractor-trailer operator. Each TruckTainer Semi-Trailer is individually built to meet customer load and ride-height requirements. While most users typically shuttle two bodies at a time, a TruckTainer Semi-Trailer can be designed to carry up to four demountable bodies, depending on the individual demountable body size. To accommodate variable loading needs, all TruckTainer demountable bodies used with a Semi-Trailer are equipped with both front and rear doors, providing through-body loading when bodies are mounted on the trailer. Together with TruckTainer equipped straight trucks and TruckTainer demountable bodies, a distribution fleet utilizing the TruckTainer Semi-Trailer becomes a Warehouse-on-Wheels.
