Improve Delivery Service and Cut Labor Costs with Demountable
Truck Bodies
"We can now leave a
loaded body at a job site. It is more cost effective to have
one man swapping bodies than to have three to six men standing
idle, waiting for another truck to arrive."

PROBLEM
Unsatisfactory
coordination of multiple events and cost of non-productive
labor
- Inefficient use of truck equipment
when multiple events were scheduled.
- Driver down time while truck was
being loaded and unloaded.
- Installation personnel waiting to
unload material from another truck.
SOLUTION
Implementation
of the TruckTainer Demountable Body System
- With multiple bodies for each truck,
drivers drop off loaded bodies and depart; installation personnel
at the party site unload when the truck leaves. Labor costs
are brought under control because personnel can perform their
tasks without being delayed by other workers.
- Instead of waiting for the truck
to return to the warehouse, personnel load free-standing
bodies while the truck makes deliveries.
- The party site is dismantled and
packed away without the truck being present; the truck simply
arrives at the site to retrieve a loaded body.
- Warehouse personnel keep the facility
more organized and clean because they have more time to load
truck bodies properly. Furthermore, installation personnel
need not unload truck bodies after returning to the warehouse.
- The company has seen a great improvement
in morale because workers can complete most of their jobs
during normal business hours.
